Okay, we are going to have to make some changes regarding the Enragin, Mindfuck etc tags. Since the site was created there has been no oversight over what gets tagged and it resulted in an overflow of these. Every person who makes the a review thinks that his comic is the worst webcomic ever. So they take it upon themselves to tag it with one of these without asking anyone. So now almost every comic in the index had a little icon next to it when these were supossed to be reserved for only THE WORST comics out there.

It utterly deminishes any importance they were meant to have. So I will be removing a few of them and from now on, if you want to lable a review with an icon you MUST ask about it here first and for people on the site to reach some kind of agreement about it. MOST OF ALL the "atomic bomb' tag which should be saved for real horrors.

Yeah, I think those are good.
I think I already went over all the A-bomb ones one time in the past. I had to remove one A-bomb tag from some mediocar comic the reviewer added it to without asking anyone.

Okay, I took down a lot of tags. So let's go over what SHOULD get a tag-

Enraging- really fucking stupid opinions. If this person isn't writing a comic supporting rape, don't tag him with this icon.
Disgusting- Something that really makes you sick. On par with the Dominic Deegan rape or any page of Moon Over June.
Douche- Person with a long history of being an ass. It has to be something having to do WITH THE ARTIST HIMSELF. Not simply for having stupid opinions expressed in his comic.
Mindfuck- There seems to be some confusion about this. This tag is made to notify the comic is completely fucking INSANE. Nothing else.
Atomic Bomb- DO NOT GIVE COMICS THIS TAG. Go on the forum and discuss it.
NSFW- Do not give a comic the tag or the template unless these is nudity IN THE REVIEW ITSELF or the links in the review lead to PORN.

I will also be replacing the icons for better looking ones sometime in the next few days.

The NSFW tag is to warn people who are browsing the site at work or school to keep them from getting in trouble. If there isn't anything to bad on the review itself then it shouldn't be a problem. Same goes for links but with more leniency since not everyone clicks links and we can't be responsible for what they find there anyway. Profanity is okay, mostly because most of our site is profane so if anyone has a job that has issues with they he shouldn't be on here from work in the first place. I don't think there is a good chance anyone will get into problems for anything besides visual, sexual material so that's what we want to warn people about.
The NSFW tag isn't an insult, it's a notice. We have it to help our readers. But there is no need to spam the entire site with it for everything that is remotely objectionable. After all, we are not a children's site to begin with.

I'm assuming this website is meant for outside people to come and visit, so they can know what might be objectionable about certain webcomics.  "Boston And Shaun" got the atom bomb tag because it looks like an innocent kiddie comic when it isn't.  Comics such as "Sandra and Woo" and "Sabrina-Online", while also superficially innocent-looking, may not deserve atomic bomb tags but definitely are unsuited for minors.  That's the purpose I can see for a tag to indicate "not for kids" as a step below "NSFW".

We don't need a "Not for kids" tag. Our site is not for kids. If a comic is deceptively child-like then it should just be mentioned as a part of the criticism in the review itself, signified with a banner on top of it. No one benefits from that.

ON a side note: We have no need for a tag to tell kids to go away. They will ignore them anyways. Just like porn sites with their front page "are you legally an adult?" which I certainly doubt any curious and/or promiscuos kid obey anyways. We already comply with our ethic/legal obligation of warning the reader what awaits ahead in detail. Wether they agree to follow our warning; or to continue reading US Angel Corps review while on duty is their responsibility. Not ours.

One other thing I wanted to mention-if a webcomic has an "Atomic Bomb" tag already, it seems completely pointless to add any other tags besides.

I dunno, at minimum any NSFW tags should be included too. Plus other tags unrelated to quality like rebooted/gone forever, etc.

Damn, I just noticed this thing. I didn't think to check this subforum before writing a new review; this might work out better in the BWW Most Wanted subforum.

Anyhow, I used the Disgusting tag for Parasite Galaxy. I don't find the comic to be that bad, but my threshold is way higher than normal people. I'm pretty sure someone sane would feel ill reading it. Let me know if that was a bad call on my part.

It can get pretty bloody at times and might have imagery some people find disturbing. I wasn't bothered by it, but I also wasn't bothered by Goblins and that got the Gross rating. I guess what I need is a baseline; I'll throw out some examples...

BTW, on the webcomic listing itself, I did put a bunch of NSFW tags on them.  No, I'm not changing any reviews, but I read a bunch of those which have internal Cheesecake or Censored tags, but no such indications on their name listings.  So I simply am adding the external tags to match the internal ones.

And I put both internal Cheesecake and external tags for Shayla The Pink Mouse and Sparkling Generation Valkyrie Yuuki, since the reviews of each webcomic indicated that they were cheesecake material, even though they didn't receive said tags (which didn't exist when the reviews were written).

I kindda would. He's a douche, no doubt, but no more than most people on the wiki. I mean, what has he done that's so bad besides obnoxiously spout his erroneous political opinions and not update on time? Compare that to some of the real drama whores on this wiki like people who steal charity money, attack their fans, try to remove any criticism of them from the internet or do god knows what else.

Most people we review are dicks. I don't think he passes the bar for the tag.
