It looks like your typical tumblr-inspired comic. Everybody's gay, lack of substantial conflict, we're supposed to identify with the freeloaders who take advantage of their spineless friends, etc. The one time they approach any real conflict is when Lucy wonders if she's cheating on Fenn, which wouldn't even be a question if this comic had real relationships and not this weird pansexual, polyamorous hugbox everyone is having. If they started using words like triggered or privilege unironically, I'd definitely say it'd be worth a review.

One thing i forgot to mention was once Hazel enters the comic the one male character (who is a super non-threatening, spineless doormat who's also "gray-asexual" just disappears altogether. Seems kind of odd.

The army and rats and refugees to Antarctica thing and the virtual reality and robotics thing is kinda cool concept wise tbh. But then the comic just fucks that and focuses on everyone being queer and fucking each other. Like, really, why the fuck is every single person queer?

I would blame this on tumblr, but it seems to be a young person problem in general; young people vastly overestimate the fraction of LGBT people in the population as they think it's something like 25% when the real number is like 4% (with trans people being less than 1%). Of course, the fact that tumblr invents new sexualities and gender identities every day doesn't help dispel that.

Of course, I assume you meant "why did the writer make every single person queer?" There's probably an answer out there but I would guess it's either "representation" or they just want to see lots of queer sex.

Every comic I've ever read with a disclaimer that it wasn't a porn comic turns out to be a porn comic.

You know honestly, if this was the whole comic and the creator cared a bit more about her "unique" style, I'd really say this comic would be a worthwhile read, but this comic is like one of those enigmas you think about when you can't sleep, it's just so weird and it's hard to tell what's happening. The story doesn't even have a real structure

Okay let's make a list then:

The Bad:
*Characters with very little personality
*Zero conflict (think QC level of everybody getting along in happy-dappy land)
*Nobody interacts with anyone outside of their group (aka the hugbox).
*Wasted potential to tell a compelling story (the rats, the potential cheating, Fen being a dead girl who is pretty much owned by her family)
*Everyone is having sex with each other even though they've just met
*Art is extremely amateur
*Which is made worse by the laughably wierd scenes that characters just get naked for no adequately explained reason

The Good:
Uh... it's not especially bad I guess?

I can't really find any good points about this comic mainly because it tries to tell a story while not knowing how to. This really feels like a journal or something, a crazy journal

Checking again I just noticed an inconsistency; At first Fi is reluctant to go to the pool because she's self-conscious about her appearance.... yet takes public baths all the time despite the fact that she'd be wearing even less clothes. What? It can't be because she got boobs later because she clearly says she went all the time, even when she was flat chested.

Just got done reading.

I think it's bad but honestly it's bad in a meh sorry of way. Also it's really short.

@Fi and public baths, I agree. The conflict is over way too quickly. And another thing that irks me, while we're at the public baths: cyborg girl acts surprised, yet she is Swedish, aka where people actually have saunas and hot tubs and lake swimming naked with family and friends. But it doesnt matter anyway because there is no conflict in the end and she is absolutely fine with bathing, spilling her life story and making out with a person she just met, and who is her lover's "mistress". Except everyone is still queer and in polyamorous relationships because lol heterosexuality and monogamy are societal constructs or some other tumblrism.

Yeah... Kids need to learn being edgy isnt that awesome and common.

Has anyone ever found a comic with gay charters in it that didn't have a lot of sex in it? Like it was just a story and some characters happen to be gay, like real life is. I have yet to find a comic like that on the web. I think I found one about a guy that built robots or something, I can't remember it's been a long time, but that's the only one I can think of. Comics like this are just porn the same way exploitation films in the 70's were just porn.

Well, there's Thunderstruck. One of the lead characters is bi, but it isn't really much of a thing and she's never slept with anybody at all. That's the only one that comes to mind.

If you're talking comics in general Sandman had a tranny where it didn't focus on that character being a tranny. They weren't a main character.

I forgot about Sandman and Demon of the underground. I will say that every webcomic I have seen that says "This is about gay people and not about sex" Is about sex and like everyone is gay. Like this comic, it started interesting. I liked the idea of the city for all the one page it got introduced. Then we go strait to a bar to pick up chicks, find a chick after one page and then start talking about sex. That's all I know about the main character. Not a good thing, and didn't make me want to read further. If I want smut I'll look for smut.

I absolutely agree. Usually it's about the author being a pretentious fuck. Or a SJW. Or both.
Usually both.

Also I'll agree that 99% of queer characters are all about being queer. And considering the fact that yaoi and yuri comics are as common as trees in a forest, it's really fucking sad that none of them treat their characters as people. Especially frustrating with those warnings or if you see the abouts being all "woo this ain't yaoi/yuri/queerbaiting/porn I promise!" and you go all "this HAS to be the exception!!"
Every single time.
